ABOUT IAC 2024
The organizer of the International Astronautical Congress is the International Astronautical Federation. The 75th International Astronautical Congress will be hosted by the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics, AIDAA. The Italian Space Agency and Leonardo co-host the 75th edition of IAC.
The IAC is the one place and time of the year where all global space actors come together, an event to gather all space players, share ideas and shape the future of the space exploration and responsible exploitation. Members of the Academia, researcher, and the international aviation and aerospace industry are expected to attend, the IAC will not only be a professional event but also an opportunity for large-scale engagement.
Covering all space sectors and topics, it offers everyone the latest space information and developments in academia and industry, networking opportunities, contacts, and potential partnerships.
Under the motto “Responsible Space for Sustainability”, the aim of IAC 2024 is to highlight the importance of space as an environment that must be kept secure and open to exploration, peaceful use and international cooperation by present and future generations in the interests of the planet and all nations, regardless of their level of development and without discrimination of any kind.
IAC 2024 involves partners and suppliers engaged in adopting sustainable measures and limiting their carbon footprint in their daily practice. The Congress will take place at Allianz MiCo Convention Centre, a venue that ensure the protection of the biodiversity of indoor and outdoor spaces, maximize the circular economy (minimization of disposable products and waste management), use environmentally friendly materials and products, promote the sustainable mobility, control and reduce the pollutant emissions.
IAC 2024 support the Food for Good project to recover surplus food and redistribute it to people and families in need.

VENUE
The IAC 2024 will be held in Milano (Italy), at the Allianz MiCo Convention Centre. While this is the fifth IAC taking place in Italy, it is the first IAC ever to be organized in the city of Milan. Close to the venue is the new Citylife district, a perfect space to spend spare time between the events of IAC.

From Milano Central train station: Subway M2 line – GARIBALDI stop > subway M5 line – PORTELLO stop

From Cadorna train station: Subway M1 line – AMENDOLA stop > about 700 meters walk
From Domodossola train station: About 15-20 minutes’ walk OR by subway M5 line – PORTELLO stop.
The MiCo Milano Convention Centre does not feature any architectural barrier. Thanks to the many elevators, escalators and ramps each guest has access to the exhibition spaces and meeting rooms without any impediment.
A nursery will be available at the venue during the days of Congress.

Early bird registration will continue until June 30th.
Once you make the full payment, you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.
You need to make the full payment within 2 weeks of registration in order to have your participation at the Congress confirmed.
Once you make the full payment, you will receive confirmation e-mail. By the end of September, you will receive a confirmation letter with a code. You are kindly asked to present this letter at the Congress venue to collect your badge. Please note that showing your ID/passport at the entrance is required to access premises at this stage.
You can pay the registration fee either via bank transfer or by card. Details for bank transfer will be provided in the e-mail of payment order/registration overview we will send as soon as you create your profile here by providing all the required information.
As for payment with card, you can realize this easily on the above-mentioned profile that will be available upon registering.
Yes, it is possible to register for the Congress as a group. You need to fill in the file provided on the Registration page and send it to the e-mail address of registration@iac2024.org.
You can pay the registration fee only via bank transfer. Details for bank transfer will be provided in the e-mail of payment order/registration overview we will send as soon as you create your profile here by providing all the required information.
VISA
Depending on your citizenship, you may need to obtain a VISA before coming to Italy. For detailed information, visit the website of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en
The Visa invitation letter can be printed online on your webpage of congress after the registration is paid and accepted.
You may obtain an e-visa through Visa system.
The expiry date of your passport or other travel document should be 3 months more than the validity period of the e-visa planned to be issued.

An invitation letter to the Congress may be downloaded online from your registration account on this website.
If a guarantee letter is needed to support your VISA application, MiCo dmc (accommodation@iac2024.org) can assist you free of charge if you have an hotel reservation with them; while it will be chargeable for those who have booked through other channels.
Please note that the VISA guarantee letter will only be available to participants who have paid their reservation registration fee.
Presentation of the requested documentation does not guarantee that the visa will be issued.
FLYING TO AND GETTING AROUND MILAN
Milan is located in the center of Europe, it is one of the easiest cities to reach. Every week 2.549 direct flights connect Milan to over 200 destinations around the world.
Malpensa airport, the most important intercontinental hub in southern Europe and is well connected to the city center thanks to the high-speed Malpensa Express train.
Linate airport, the city airport quickly reachable by car, bus or taxi. It is connected to the city center by subway line MM4.
Orio al serio, low-cost companies’ airport located at 45 km north-east of Milano, easy reachable by car (A4 highway), bus or taxi.

STAYING IN MILAN
MiCo dmc is appointed as Official Housing Bureau of the IAC 2024. A number of hotel rooms at preferential rates in different price categories has been reserved in Milan and surrounding areas for IAC 2024 delegates.
